If you are worried about hair loss, then you will have probably heard a number of myths and reasons that people have said will cause you to lose your hair, You might have found that a lot of these myths seem quite unlikely and that they are more than likely made up and you might have found that you actually believed a lot of these myths and have therefore worried yourself about them. Well, we are here to run through some of the most well known myths of hair loss and tell you that they really are just myths.

One of the myths that you might have heard at some point is that hair loss comes from your mother’s side of the family. If you have heard this myth then the person that told it to you has got the wrong idea. Hair loss actually comes mainly from the fathers aside of the family as that is the sife that the gene is usually inherited from. Of course, the hair loss gene can actually come from either side of the family so if it runs on any side of your family, then you are not safe.

Another strange, but common myth surrounding hair loss is that it is actually caused by hair products. This might be one of the myths that is quite easy to believe but there are actually no hair products that will cause you to lose your hair at all. It doesn’t matter if you wash your hair a hundred times a day, it won’t make any difference as to the speed that you lose your hair.

Another myth is that ejaculations will actually cause hair loss. Once again this is a strange myth and you might believe that it is true. However, there has been no links to ejaculation causing hair loss at all and it is definitely just a myth.

A lot of people will experience some form of hair loss at some point in their lives. In some people it can occur extremely young and in other it can occur at quite an old age. Of course, in some people e it might not occur at all. However, in a lot of people that are teenagers, they will notice that they start to develop a mature hair line at some point during their teenage years. If hair loss runs in your family then this can often be quite a worry for you and you might think that you are going bald extremely early. However, more often than not, this is just a normal occurrence there are a few ways that you can make sure everything is still alright.

If at some point in your teenage years you start to feel like you have started losing your hair, then you should ask a few people what they think and see if you really are losing your hair or whether you are just imagining it. If they believe that you are, then you should keep a close eye on it and if you feel that it is getting any worse, then you should book in to see a dermatologist so that he/she can examine your scalp.

A lot of the time when teenagers experience hair loss, it will actually be experienced for a certain amount of time and then it will just stop on its own, without any treatment at all. However, if your dermatologist feels that you need treatment, he/she will often give you things such as Rogaine. This will slow down how fast you are losing your hair and it will give you a whole lot longer without going bald. It is certainly worth going to see a dermatologist if you feel you are losing your hair at all.

If you think that you are beginning to lose your hair, or are just concerned about whether or not you are likely to, then you might have wondered exactly what the causes of hair loss are. The thing is that there are actually a variety of causes and of course, some of them are more likely to cause hair loss than others.

One of the most likely explanations for hair loss is that it ‘runs in the family’. If any of the men on your father’s side of the family have suffered from hair loss, then chances are that you have picked up the gene that will make this terrible thing happen to you as well.

One of the other reasons that you might find that you are losing your hair could be due to stress. This should never be underrated as a cause of hair loss as sometimes it doesn’t matter whether you are under a lot of mental, or a lot of physical stress, it could lead to you losing more hair than usual. Having said this, it is only usually the cause of hair loss temporarily and it is unlikely that you will go completely bald due to stress alone.

One other reason is something that you really can do nothing about at all and this is your age. As you get older, it doesn’t matter if you have no history of hair loss in your family and you are not under any stress, the chances of losing your hair are greatly increased. This is something that you will just have to accept as you grow old and although it might be annoying; you will just have to accept it.

One of the questions that you may ask at some point in your lives is whether or not you are likely to lose your hair at any point. You might also ask when you are likely to lose your hair and what you can do about it. Hair loss is one of the biggest thing that men worry about and a few women worry about it too, however, in men, it is highly likely that a lot of you will lose your hair at some point and there are a few ways to tell when you might lose it and whether you will even lose it at all.

Hair loss is something that is usually genetic. This means that if you analyse the rest of your family, you will probably be able to decipher whether or not you are likely to lose your hair at any point in your lives. The thing about going bald is that although it is genetic, it is usually something that you acquire from your father’s side of the family. This means that in order to check whether you are likely to lose it, you should see whether or not any of the men on your father’s side of your family have lost their hair. Indeed, you may find that your father has even lost his hair.

Once you have done this, you might find that you are indeed at risk and that there are a lot of people on your father’s side of your family that suffer from hair loss. If this is the case, you should start asking them at what age did they lose their hair? This should give you an idea as to when you are likely to lose yours. Of course, even if you find hair loss to be common in your family, it is definitely not certain that you will lose yours.

One of the things that you will hope that does not happen to you is that you will lose your hair. Of course, hair loss is much more common in men than women but the fact is that women can also suffer from it to a certain extent. Hair loss in women will usually not be as severe as hair loss in men but you will certainly know that it is happening. Hair loss in women can often occur during the stages of the menopause where you might notice that you hair becomes increasingly thin and that you are losing more hair than normal.

Of course, if this happens then there will be a huge cause for concern and most women will be extremely worried about it. There are many things that you should do if you find that this is happening to you. The first thing that we would advice is that you go and see a dermatologist. The dermatologist will examine the condition of your scalp and will probably be able to figure out what it’s the main cause of the hair loss that you are experiencing. Another thing to do is have your thyroid checked as this can be one of the most common reasons for hair loss in women.

The first step to solving the problem if you have it is to find out what the cause of the problem is. Once you have found the problem, you will probably be advised on what to do about it and more often than not, it is a relatively easy thing to resolve.

A weft is a type of hair system used by people who are suffering from hair loss. It is generally a linear strip of human hair or synthetic hair which is bonded to a latex or fabric strip.

Wefts generally tend to be longer than the systems used in weaves – that is braids of hair to hair – and they generally contain more than fifty hairs or synthetic hair fibers. It is often the case that they may require more points of attachments, and they may also provide more bulk than weaves.

Wefts are made from human hair which is woven into mesh and will be more expensive than those which are pressed together by a machine and glued to the mesh foundation. In any case, the wefts should match the hair colour and hair thickness. Once supplied they are cut down to match the hair style of the recipient.

The wefts can either be woven into place using the natural hair, which is passed through the mesh with appropriate sewing needles and then knotted or tied together, or they can be glued to the parted hair or scalp. However, this bonding method will create a barrier for fingers should someone want to run their fingers through your hair.

Using the adhesive is a quicker and less expensive way of attaching the wefts, although it does still require someone with a professional background to carry out the procedure. Clips may also be used should the recipient want to apply the weft on their own.

It is impossible to tell how long a weft will last for or stay in place. For some this may be for several weeks, for others they may loosen after the first shampoo. Natural hair oils can cause the adhesive to lose its ability to bond. If glue attachments are used to help the wefts stay in place for as long as possible, it is recommended that hair is combed very carefully to avoid any unnecessary pulling or dragging on the weft.

It may surprise you to know that there is more than one category of hair loss. Is it possible for your doctor to tell just by looking at your what kind of hair loss you have? The answer is yes, sometimes this is possible.

When it comes to hereditary hair loss patterns, the most common type of hair loss in men, these have developed into a classical clinical descriptive science. Genetic hair loss shows up in distinctive patterns, and these patterns tend to be almost 100% diagnostic for male pattern baldness.

Balding patterns also exist in women and a knowledgeable doctor may well be able to tell just by looking what the cause of the hair loss is. A small number of people will lose scalp hair in a uniform (diffuse) way, rather than by losing it in specific areas of the scalp. This type of hair loss is not just as easy to detect as the hair is lost steadily from all over the head. It is generally easier to detect a bald spot resulting from hair loss in a specific area of the scalp from diseases which can cause uniform hair loss to the normal genetics of a particular person.

Hair loss occurs naturally and this will usually be at the end of one of the normal hair cycles which all hair goes through. The hair cycles are as follows:

Anagen – this is the growth stage, which lasts three years on average, but could also be as short as a year or as long as seven years.

Catogen – this stage is where the hair prepares to go into the next phase and therefore undergoes changes in its anatomy, and falls out at the end of this stage of the cycle.

Telogen – this is the sleep stage when a percentage of the hair disappears – lasts between two and five months on average – approximately 10% of all the hairs on our heads are in the telogen part of the cycle at any one time.

At the end of the telogen stage, a new hair bud appears, and this signals the beginning of the anagen stage, as so the circle continues.

When it comes to hair sprays, gels, perms and any other type of chemical products and processes, they exist for one reason only, and that is to enable us to take control of our hair and force it to do what we want.

It is part of human nature to want what we don’t have, so if you have curly hair, you may want straight hair, and vice verse. However, hair has a mind of its own and also possesses built in characteristics which need to be overcome if you want it to do your bidding. The factors which can influence the appearance of your hair may include the following:

The thickness of the hair shaft

The density of the hair

The natural stiffness of the hair – this keeps it from lying flat of the scalp

The natural curvature of the hair

How the hair relates to its neighboring hairs

The cohesiveness of the hair – how it sticks to other hairs

In today’s thriving hair business, there are numerous products on the market which claim to be able to make your hair thicker, more dense and to shine like the sun. All these chemical products and processes can change the composition of your hair, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, and sometimes for ever.

The majority of hair sprays on the market today are water soluble, so if your wash your hair every day after using hair sprays, then you will wash away any chemicals and bonds they form, therefore decreasing the chances of any damage being caused. Everyone of us will at some point, suffer from a bad hair day – this doesn’t mean that you have permanently damaged your hair, but are usually caused by a reduction in static electricity in your hair, generally this is due to weather conditions and not by anything you may have done to your hair.

If you don’t allow your hair to recover from any damage sustained from the use of various hair treatments by good washing and conditioning, then your only option is to cut away the damaged hair, which will allow you to obtain the healthy look that you are looking for. When hair is damaged it will look dull and feels rough. It will lose that silky feeling, however, with time, as hair grows out, you can cut away that damaged hair, and allow the younger part of the hair near the base if the scalp to grow and replace the old hair.

When it comes to hair loss, what you may ask is the big deal? Is it not true that everyone will lose their hair eventually?

Then surely there is no need to worry about it now – or looking into ways to put off the inevitable. Is there any need to buy a book about hair loss – there couldn’t be that much to say about it anyway, right? And surely, it is a little bit vain to worry about hair loss when there are still so many things wrong with the world at large.

However, that said, losing your hair can be a crushing blow to your self esteem, and can even affect your social life, work performance and your view of yourself. What is good is that there are many things you are able to do to minimize or help prevent hair loss, and alternative ways to obtain a whole new head of hair, if that is the route you would like to take.

What many people don’t realise is the scope of the hair loss problem and that they are not alone in their fight against this often traumatic experience. In the US around 50% of the male population will suffer from some sort of male pattern baldness by the age of fifty. Twenty million women will have, at some point in their lives, significant hair loss. Prescription medication has been, or is being, taken by millions of men to prevent or decrease hair loss. And maybe not surprisingly, around one hundred thousand men annually take the step of having a hair transplant carried out.

Whether you already have significant hair loss, or are just sizing up the other members of you family and fearing that hair loss is in your genes, remember that there are many options available to you now, even if all you want to is to discover what is out there, or can be done, to help alleviate your problem.

It is often the case that some heads of hair seem fuller or thicker than others. This is caused by the thickness of the hair shaft – a coarse, thicker hair shaft will have more bulk than a finer hair shaft.

Texture is an important factor also. In Caucasians, a heavy, coarse hair is not a common feature, however, if you do have it, then your hair will appear very, very thick. People with fine hair, however, will often have hair with an almost “see-through” appearance, particularly when seen in bright light, even if they are not balding or suffering with hair loss.

If they are lucky, then a natural higher density may help to offset this to some degree. It can happen that people with fair hair often colour their hair to a lighter shade so that the contrast between their hair colour and skin colour is minimized, and also helping to make their hair look distinctly thicker.

When you find hair and skin colour to be similar, such as blonde hair on white skin, the hair coverage appears fuller than if there is a high difference between the colours, such as black hair against white skin.

When consideration is given to a hair transplant, this contrast between the hair colour and skin colour may dictate the surgical techniques employed by the surgeon, and also the amount of hair which needs to be moved in order to obtain a fuller look. If hair transplant surgery is not for you, then there are many products on the market today which claim to be able to provide you with thicker, fuller, more colorful hair.

Or another cheaper option would be to consult your hair dresser who may be able to discuss alternative hair styles or how to blow dry your hair to give it maximum volume. Of course this last option may only be available to women.
